We only use solid wood — specifically white oak, red oak, and walnut. Because wood is a natural material, each board has its own colour, grain, and character. These variations are part of what makes every piece unique.
Red oak has a warm, reddish‑brown hue and an open, coarse grain that highlights its natural growth patterns. It’s harvested from forests across the US and Canada, making it a readily available, sustainable choice.
Its hard‑wearing surface stands up to daily use, and its bold grain works beautifully in farmhouse, rustic, and traditional interiors.
American walnut offers a rich, dark chocolate‑brown colour with subtle purple undertones and a straight to gently wavy grain. It’s prized for its smooth texture and ability to take on a silky finish over time.
Its rich colour palette and subtle figuring make it ideal for mid-century modern, luxury, and rustic‑chic interiors.
White oak
White oak is a durable, stable hardwood with a quiet, natural grain. Its warm, neutral tone works especially well in minimalist, Scandinavian, and Japandi-inspired interiors.
Our furniture is finished with Rubio Monocoat, a durable hardwax oil that protects the wood while preserving its natural texture and appearance. Unlike a traditional topcoat, it does not create a heavy film over the surface. Scratches and scuffs can usually be repaired in small areas without refinishing the whole piece. It is also 0% VOC, GreenGuard Certified, and Food Contact Compliant.
