Attaching the base to the tabletop takes under 20 minutes, and we provide everything you need.

When will the dining table arrive?
We build all dining tables by hand in Vancouver and deliver them within 6-8 weeks
How does shipping work?
In Metro Vancouver, we deliver and assemble your table for free.
Outside Metro Vancouver, our 6 person table ships by UPS, so it arrives like any other UPS package. If you'd rather not move the table into your home yourself, please contact us and we can provide a quote for white glove delivery.
Our 8 person table is currently available in Metro Vancouver only.
Does the 8 person dining table ship to the US?
Our 6 person dining table ships free to Canada and the United States. Our 8 person dining table is currently available in Metro Vancouver only, where we deliver and assemble it for free.
Do I need to be home to accept delivery?
Outside Metro Vancouver, no. Our 6 person table ships by UPS, so it's delivered like any other package.
In Metro Vancouver, we deliver and assemble your table ourselves, at a time that suits you.
What if I want to be home to accept delivery?
If your table ships by UPS, leave us a note when placing your order and we'll ask for a signature on delivery. In Metro Vancouver, we always deliver your table in person.
Do I need to book my elevator?
If your table ships by UPS, you shouldn't need to. In Metro Vancouver, we deliver at a time that suits you, so you can book it ahead if your building requires it. Please reach out if you'd like to discuss your order.

Where is the 8 person dining table built?
Our dining tables are made in our Vancouver workshop
What type of wood is used in the 8 person dining table?
The entire table, top and legs, is made out of solid white oak
Is there any MDF or plywood in the 8 person dining table?
We only use solid wood, there is no MDF, plywood or otherwise veneered wood
What kind of finish is used?
We use Rubio Monocoat, a natural hardwax oil finish that offers protection without VOCs. It is Food Contact Compliant and GREENGUARD Gold certified. You can find more information on Rubio Monocoat's certifications here.
Is the finish safe for pets and children?
Yes, we use a non-toxic finish that is food safe and has 0% VOCs, more information on the finish and its certifications.
Are any chemicals used in the construction?
No, our dining tables are built with solid wood then finished with a natural hard wax oil that is non-toxic and VOC free.
Are there any visible fasteners?
No, there are no visible screws or fasteners.
Is the tabletop grain matched?
Yes, we strive to grain match as best as possible though please note that every piece of wood is unique and therefore uniformity is not guaranteed.
How is wood movement accounted for?
The tabletop attaches to the base in a way that lets it expand and contract with seasonal changes in humidity.
Is the wood kiln dried?
Yes, the wood in all of our furniture, including the 8 person dining table, is kiln dried

How thick is the tabletop?
The tabletop is 1.25" thick. On the 6 person table, the legs are 2.5" thick.
How much space is there at the edge of the table?
The legs are set in from each end, so chairs fit at both ends. On the 8 person table they're inset 16".
Maintenance
How should I clean the dining table?
Wipe up spills with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners—use mild soap and water if needed.
How heat resistant is the table top?
Moderately heat resistant, but not heatproof. We advise using trivets or pads for hot dishes.
Can the table be in direct sunlight?
Constant direct sun exposure will change the colour of the wood but not the integrity of the table itself.
Can the table be refinished?
Yes the finish we use is intended to make any repairs simple: lightly sand and reapply oil to worn areas if needed
