The bookshelf is constructed via hidden mortise and tenon joints then reinforced with wood glue. This results in a very strong construction with no visible fasteners.

We provide everything you need, and most pieces take one person under 15 minutes to assemble, without tools. Even our largest bookcase takes only about 30 minutes. If you might move it later, glue it up in sections so it can be taken apart.

No, we use UPS and Canada Post so the bookshelf will be delivered just like any other package you might receive

Yes. In Metro Vancouver, we deliver and assemble every piece for free. Elsewhere, we can quote white glove delivery; the price depends on the piece and your address.

You should not need to book your elevator as we use UPS and Canada Post for most of our deliveries, please reach out if you'd like to discuss your specific order though

Our bookshelves are modular and can fit through almost any hallway, staircase or entryway. However, please reach out if you would like to discuss your specific situation.

We can't guarantee a specific delivery date but we can ensure your bookcase does not arrive while you're away.

We only use solid wood, there is no MDF, plywood or otherwise veneered wood

We use Rubio Monocoat, a natural hardwax oil finish that offers protection without VOCs. It is Food Contact Compliant and GREENGUARD Gold certified. You can find more information on Rubio Monocoat's certifications here.

Yes, we use a non-toxic finish that is food safe and has 0% VOCs, more information on the finish and its certifications.

No, our bookshelves are built with solid wood then finished with a natural hard wax oil that is non-toxic and VOC free.

It will depend a little on the shelf but the individual shelves we've tested have held 150lbs without issue.

Cabinet doors use Blum push-to-open hardware with soft-close hinges, so there are no handles. Drawers run on Blum soft-close undermount slides.

Yes, we offer a 5 year warranty that covers any manufacturing defects

Yes, all of our bookcases can be oriented however you like. You can turn them upside down or spin them around, all sides can be used as show faces.
