What kind of assembly is required?
The legs are attached to the table top via a hidden mounting plate. It should take you no more than 10 minutes to fasten the legs to the tabletop and we provide everything you need.
Shipping
When will the dining table arrive?
We build all dining tables by hand in Vancouver and deliver them within 6- 8 weeks
How does shipping work?
We use UPS, you will receive your table just as you do other UPS packages. Please note: the table top weighs 80 lbs.
If you do not feel comfortable moving the table into your home yourself or receiving the table via UPS, please contact us and we can provide quotes for white glove delivery to your address.
Does the 6 person dining table ship to the US?
Yes, we offer free shipping to the United States and Canada on all of our furniture, including the 6 person dining table
Do I need to be home to accept delivery?
No, we use UPS and Canada Post so the dining table will be delivered just like any other package you might receive
What if I want to be home to accept delivery?
Please leave us a note when placing your order and we will indicate that a signature is required to deliver the dining table
Do I need to book my elevator?
You should not need to book your elevator as we use UPS and Canada Post for most of our deliveries, please reach out if you'd like to discuss your specific order though

Where is the 6 person dining table built?
Our dining tables are made in our North Vancouver workshop
What type of wood is used in the 6 person dining table?
The entire table, top and legs, is made out of solid walnut
Is there any MDF or plywood in the 6 person dining table?
We only use solid wood, there is no MDF, plywood or otherwise veneered wood
What kind of finish is used?
We use Rubio Monocoat, a natural hardwax oil finish that offers protection without VOCs. It is Food Contact Compliant and Greenguard Certified. You can find more information on Rubio Monocoat's certifications here.
Is the finish safe for pets and children?
Yes, we use a non-toxic finish that is food safe and has 0% VOCs, more information on the finish and its certifications.
Are any chemicals used in the construction?
No, our dining tables are built with solid wood then finished with a natural hard wax oil that is non-toxic and VOC free. Furthermore, we don't use any plastic in our construction or packaging.
Are there any visible fasteners?
The mounting plate we use to attach the legs to the tabletop is hidden within a recess on the underside of the table, therefore, there are no visible fasteners
Is the tabletop grain matched?
Yes, we strive to grain match as best as possible though please note that every piece of wood is unique and therefore uniformity is not guaranteed.
How is wood movement accounted for?
The mounting plates we use allow for the tabletop and legs to contract and expand with seasonal changes in humidity

Maintenance
How should I clean the dining table?
Wipe up spills with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners—use mild soap and water if needed.
How heat resistant is the table top?
Moderately heat resistant, but not heatproof. We advise using trivets or pads for hot dishes.
Can the table be in direct sunlight?
Constant direct sun exposure will change the colour of the wood but not the integrity of the table itself.
Can the table be refinished?
Yes the finish we use (Rubio Monocoat) is intended to make any repairs simple: lightly sand and reapply oil to worn areas if needed
