The legs come fully assembled and attach to the underside of the desktop with hidden bolts. The bolts sit in slotted holes, so the top can expand and contract with the seasons. We provide everything you need, and it takes under 20 minutes.

A box runs along the back of the desk, just below the top. Its lid sits flush with the desktop, and a slot along the back of the lid lets cables pass down into the box, where your power bar and chargers stay out of sight.

The box is open at both ends, so power cords run from it into a groove down the back of each back leg to the floor.

Lift the lid straight out, using the slot along its back edge as a grip. There are no hinges, so you can set the lid aside while you plug things in, then drop it back in place.

A power bar, chargers, adapters and spare cable. Keeping them in the box leaves your desktop clear.

Very little. From the front, your power bar and spare cable are hidden in the box, and the cords to the wall run down the back of the back legs.

Yes. The lid only covers the middle of the back edge, so you can clamp a monitor arm to the back of the desk on either side of it.

No, the desk has no drawers. The box along the back holds your power bar, chargers and cables.

Outside Metro Vancouver, our desks ship by UPS, so they arrive like any other UPS package. If you'd rather not move the desk into your home yourself, please contact us and we can provide a quote for white glove delivery.

All of our furniture is made in our Vancouver workshop

The entire desk, including the top, legs and cable box, is made of solid walnut.

We only use solid wood, there is no MDF, plywood or otherwise veneered wood

We use Rubio Monocoat, a natural hardwax oil finish that offers protection without VOCs. It is Food Contact Compliant and GREENGUARD Gold certified. You can find more information on Rubio Monocoat's certifications here.

No, our desks are built with solid wood then finished with a natural hard wax oil that is non-toxic and VOC free.

No, there are no visible screws or fasteners.

Yes, we strive to grain match as best as possible though please note that every piece of wood is unique and therefore uniformity is not guaranteed.

Wipe up spills with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners—use mild soap and water if needed.

Moderately heat resistant, but not heatproof. We recommend using a coaster under hot drinks.

Constant direct sun exposure will change the colour of the wood but not the integrity of the desk itself.

Yes the finish we use is intended to make any repairs simple: lightly sand and reapply oil to worn areas if needed
